Kohima Reunion Day in York

Kohima veterans assembled on the steps of the main door of York Minster on 29 April 2008. Those in the front row include senior officers of the contemporary 2nd Division and the Lady Mayoress of York.

The Kohima reunion day is held annually in York. All veterans of the battle of Kohima are invited to attend a service in York Minster followed by lunch at Imphal Barracks. In previous years there was a march past of all the attending veterans, but now they simply gather on the steps of the Minster to be photographed. This is a big occasion in York, featured by the local media.
