An Evening of Remembrance: the battles of Kohima, Imphal and the Burma Campaign: 

In June 2025, the year of commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, we were delighted to host an evening of personal memories and tributes from family members and descendants of those who fought and died in the campaign. The event, which took place at York University, was introduced and compered by Dr Richard Duckett. Known to many of our supporters as a recent KET webinar guest speaker, Richard is an historian and the author of The Special Operations Executive in Burma and of the recently published Jungle Warrior: Britain’s Greatest SOE Commander - the story of Lt Col Edgar Peacock. Richard set the scene and guided us through the history and stories of the Burma Campaign. The recording of the evening can be viewed below.
